CHANGES OF PLANS!
THIS YEAR, WE STILL MANAGED TO REMOVE
4 TONS OF TRASH FROM THE WAPSI BACKWATERS!
YOU ALL HAVE MUCH TO BE PROUD OF!!!

TRASH BY THE NUMBERS
Recyclables --3,058 lbs. total, or 38% of cleanup total:
24 lbs. aluminum
71 lbs. glass
96 lbs. plastic
855 lbs. tires and rims
2,120 lbs. scrap metal
Hazardous waste--70 lbs.
Dump material--4,845 lbs.*
GRAND TOTAL: 7,973 lbs., or 3.99 tons!
*It should
be noted that the dump material contained a considerable amount of large pieces
of treated and untreated wood from old docks.
The wood pieces were removed from the water because they had nails, screws and
other hardware, as well as styrofoam, attached to them.
