*****LWRCP*****est. 2006 LOWER WAPSIPINICON |
SPONSOR INFORMATION
We would like to offer your company or organization the opportunity to support the efforts of our 4th annual Lower Wapsipinicon River Cleanup Project. We are working to bring the benefits of a river cleanup to a section of the Wapsi bordering Clinton and Scott counties, from Allen's Grove Park in rural Scott County to Walter's Landing in McCausland. This area is greatly in need of our attention. Pieces of refuse large and small litter the riverbed, banks, and sandbars, making the river unsightly, unhealthy, and unsafe for humans and wildlife.
The Project will focus on two main goals: To remove trash from the river and dispose of it in an environmentally ethical manner, and to educate the public about the importance of being environmentally aware and responsible.
Sponsor benefits would include your company's or organization's name and logo on t-shirts, event signs, and press releases. Your donation will help make it possible for us to offer many items free to participants, including canoes, life jackets, collection bags, shuttle service to accesses, and environmental education workshops. By offering these items at no charge, we plan to increase the number and diversity of our participants.
We look forward to proving that a small grassroots effort can truly make a difference. We already have the award-winning Clinton County Conservation Board as a major sponsor, and we are in the process of securing many more commitments. We hope you will consider giving us your support. Donations are tax-deductible. Checks should be made out to Friends of the Wapsi Center, Inc. Their EIN is 42-1429400. Please feel free to contact coordinator Melisa Petersen at 309-737-9016 or at coordinator-at-lowerwapsicleanup.org with any questions you may have. Thank you for your time.
