The Lower
Wapsipinicon River Cleanup Project is a grassroots organization with a twofold
purpose: To remove trash from the river and dispose of it in an environmentally
responsible manner; and to educate the public about our environment and the
importance of caring for our natural resources.
By providing
an opportunity for concerned individuals and groups to participate in an organized
cleanup event, and by offering environmental education programs during that
time, we inform people about the way our environment works and increase public
awareness of the impact our actions have on the quality of our waters.
